New York Times on Medical Device Security

Credit: Richard Perry/The New York Times
The New York Times recently interviewed the leadership of the Archimedes Center for Medical Device Security. The article provides a balanced perspective on risks and benefits of various approaches for medical device security, and draws on several primary sources.  This balance is an important departure from media articles over the past couple years that largely sensationalize rather than analyze the problem space.  Great to see some in-depth reporting.

  1. Kevin - I thought I saw (maybe a month or two ago?) that you were going to be interviewed on Slashdot, or something like that... but it never happened? Something like "Ask medical device security expert Kevin Fu anything"?

Was looking forward to it. Please let me know if I missed it & you can shoot me an URL.

    1. it's in the queue. I've been rather delayed by re-construction complications from my house collapsing among other things. We'll share the URL when ready.

    2. Oh my! Sorry to hear about the house.

Look forward to the session when everything's back on track. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
